Fall is upon us, and it’s time to get cozy here in the Midwest.
So much has happened, just this year alone, in real estate. The market changes more often, and faster – a bit of a difference from when we both started our real estate careers in 2004 & 2006. (Yes, we weathered the 2008-2010 market, for those of you that are paying attention 😉.) As with any current real estate market it takes skilled professionals who are immersed daily in the industry, to provide the best representation to their clients, and The J&L Team is proud to do just that.
If you’re reading this from our website, perhaps you’ve noticed it’s NEW! We hope it can be a valuable resource for you and your real estate needs. We’ve entered Quarter 4, and that means so many things in our business. While we await Q3 market data to release, we start planning ahead for Q1, and we make sure to follow all checkpoints for everything we mapped out that NEEDS to happen for the last three months of the year. We regularly work ON our business simultaneously while working IN the business, and we think this is key to our success. We also rolled out a new way to connect with you, and we promise only to send you the most valuable information, and not remind you that it’s #NationalWhateverDay. Keep an eye on your email boxes and we’ll be sure to not only provide real estate news you can use, yet also some behind the scenes tidbits as well – like the time Lynn got locked out of a property, or when Jo totally wiped out on ice that she was profusely warning a pregnant client NOT to step on. 🤦♀️ First one below 👇
Behind The Scenes Tidbits — recently, at an evening listing appointment we went on together, Jo started exploring the house while Lynn talked to the client in the kitchen. Since each room door was shut, she had to open them one by one, and turn the lights on. Have you ever tried finding a light switch in the dark, in an unfamiliar house? Well, as she opened one of the doors and took a step in, she saw something large in the corner in a slumped over position at the same time her hand found the light switch and turned it on – a giant stuffed animal! She yells to the kitchen, “Good Lord! This thing in here scared me!” To which the client exclaims, “OH, That’s Scooby Doo from Great America that my college aged daughter won’t let me throw out!” 😳 As Jo took a deep breath and recovered, she suggested, “it’s probably not a good idea to keep him in here for showings.” 🤣 👻 “ROASTS” (insert our best Scooby voice here)
